Meet Howard Hinterthuer, Java Dock Fixture. "I stop in for a scone and coffee almost every morning," he says. "I'm sort of a scone junky, plus I typically noodle along on guitar with whatever is playing on the sound system. It's one way to keep my chops. I began playing guitar in 1970 in Vietnam where I served as a medic with the 101st. Airborne Division. I have performed professionally ever since, across the U.S.A. and beyond."
Howard is also semi-retired from a long career as a writer and public relations consultant. "I still do features on occasion for the Huffington Post, plus a wide variety of trade publications. This past fall I edited a book entitled Justice Delayed is Justice Denied, the story of a twenty-one-year multiple murder investigation in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties. Something new always seems to show up."
